Creating your vision board for "2018"

Now that 2017 is officially over it’s time to begin to plan for 2018.  What type of year do you want to have for this year?  You can start by setting the pace today.

So I’m going to share a few tips that hopefully you will find helpful to you as you create your vision board for the year.

Celebrate & Reflect

Let’s review 2017 and what worked and what didn’t work. So take a moment and create a list of what you accomplished last year and what didn’t get done. With the goals that you weren’t able to achieve should they be goals you include for 2018?

Make the list of goals

Now that you have an idea of what you’d for your focus for 2018 to be, you can begin to make a list of items you’ll include on your vision board. Make a list of goals that are still in process and new goals.

Goal Checking

Before you add the goals to your vision board, we need to check to see if they’re indeed goals or wishes…  So what’s the difference between a wish and a goal?  A wish is something that you’d like to see but aren’t necessarily working towards. For example, maybe you have a dream of becoming a millionaire. To make the wish of becoming a millionaire a goal you have to create a plan of how that will happen and set goals that are specific and measurable and most importantly realistic!

So you check your goals and see if they’re:  Specific, Measurable, Action-Oriented, Realistic, Time-Specific…

Creating the Vision Board

Now pull out the markers and magazines and create your vision with your list of goals and feel free also to add your wishes. You can be as creative as you’d like.  When you’ve completed the vision board to your liking make sure you place it in a place where you can see it every day!

Wishing everyone a prosperous 2018…. When you think you can’t do this just look back on what you accomplished in 2017 and know you got this!
